Ferrovanadium 60
Ferro vanadium 60 is an iron-vanadium master alloy. It is used as an additive in steelmaking to add vanadium. This makes the final steel product stronger, more resistant to wear and to high temperatures. It is produced by heating vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) or by melting together vanadium-bearing slag and ores. Adding ferro vanadium during steel production helps to make the grains smaller, makes it easier to harden, and helps it to be stronger.
