Ferrosilicon Alloy FS 65

The silicon content of ferrosilicon 65 is 63-68%, the carbon content does not exceed 0.1%, the sulfur content does not exceed 0.02%, the phosphorus content does not exceed 0.05%, the aluminum content does not exceed 2.5%, the manganese content does not exceed 0.4%, and the chromium content does not exceed 0.4%.

Ferrosilicon FS 65 is widely used as an additive in the production of heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, electrical, and spring steels, as well as in the casting of some grades of cast iron. Ferrosilicon alloys with silicon content of 63-68 % contribute to the strength and oxidation resistance of steel.

Ferrosilicon FS 65 is supplied to the market in the form of pieces not more than 10 centimeters thick and weighing no more than 25 kilograms, as well as in the form of crushed granules for long-term storage. The finished raw material must not contain mechanical impurities, except for individual inclusions of welding sand or traces of graphite.
