Ferrosilicon Lump FS45 Description
Ferrosilicon FS 45 is used for alloying and deoxidizing steel and cast iron to increase the tensile strength, hardness and elasticity of steel and cast iron. Ferrosilicon can also prevent oxidation of steel, thereby improving corrosion resistance. It can be used to smelt heat-resistant steel, corrosion-resistant steel, electrical steel and spring steel.

The silicon content of ferrosilicon 45 is 41-47%, the carbon content does not exceed 0.2%, the sulfur content does not exceed 0.02%, the phosphorus content does not exceed 0.05%, the aluminum content does not exceed 2%, the manganese content does not exceed 1%, and the chromium content does not exceed 0.5" Metallurgical ferrosilicon is an alloy of iron and silicon with the lowest impurity content.
