1. After placing one-third of the charge on the bottom of the electric furnace, place the calculated product on it, and then place the remaining charge on top as needed. If the charge on top is large, it is necessary to press part of the broken charge against the recarburizer to prevent surfacing and affecting the absorption rate.
2. The order of adding materials is as follows: a small amount of iron scraps, recarburizer, steel scrap and recycled materials. Basically, the absorption rate of the recarburizer is more than 88%, the temperature reaches 1560°, and the slag can be removed from the furnace.
Do not remove all the molten iron from the furnace, leave some molten iron, then add the recarburizer, iron filings, steel scrap, etc. It's better to reserve some of the molten iron at the bottom of the furnace or put some of the iron pins on the bottom of the furnace so that the absorption is higher!
It is not recommended to use a washing method that reduces the absorption rate of this product. Do not cover graphite pig iron with slag when it is melted, otherwise it can easily be wrapped in waste slag and affect carbon uptake.
Compared with traditional cast iron, graphite carburizer:
1. This product has no residue during use and has a high utilization rate;
2. It is easy to use in production, and it saves production costs;
3. The phosphorus and sulfur content is much lower than cast iron, and the performance is stable;
4. The use of graphite carbureizer can significantly reduce the cost of castings.
