Deoxidizer 75 Ferrosilicon Description
75 Ferrosilicon is an alloy consisting of iron, silicon and a small amount of aluminium. The alloy is highly reactive and reacts readily with oxygen to form silicon dioxide and iron oxide. When added to molten steel 75 ferrosilicon releases silicon and aluminium, which combine with impurities to form slag that floats to the surface of the steel. This process removes impurities and produces high quality steel.
