Silver gray ferrosilicon 75% Description
Ferrosilicon is a mixture of iron and silicon. Silicon (atomic mass 28.086, density 2.33 g/cm³, melting and boiling points 1414 and 2287 °C, respectively) makes steel harder, stronger, more elastic and able to withstand more pressure. It also reduces the chances of steel rusting and reduces energy loss.
Ferrosilicon is used to make steel stronger and less likely to rust, as well as to make other types of steel stronger and more resistant to heat and corrosion. It is also used to make cast iron strong and resistant to heat and corrosion. On the surface of ingots and pieces of ferrosilicon there should be no obvious pieces of slag or other foreign materials, and the number of small particles passing through a sieve with holes of 20x20 mm should not exceed 12% of the weight of the batch. Small pieces of welding sand, traces of other non-stick materials and graphite are allowed.
