Ferrosilicon 75 Description
Ferrosilicon 75 is an alloy of iron and silicon, which also contains smaller proportions of other elements. The most commonly used grade of siliceous iron contains 75 percent silicon by weight, but its content can vary between 15-90 weight percent depending on the application.
Ferrosilicon 75 of the highest quality is produced in an electric arc furnace, where silica is reduced by coke in the presence of iron (usually steel scrap or iron ore). Ferrosilicon Fesi is commonly found as shiny gray metal blocks, but it is also available in ready-made spherical forms.
