75 Ferrosilicon slag Description

It may contain trace amounts of manganese, aluminum, titanium, chromium, sulfur, carbon, or phosphorus. Ferrosilicon is used as an additive for alloying and deoxidation in the smelting and production of tool and structural steels, modification and alloying of cast iron, as well as for changing the composition of the alloy. Silicon alloying allows you to increase the hardness, yield strength and elasticity of steel, as well as its resistance to tension and oxidation. In addition, electrical energy losses are reduced.
