75 Ferro Silicon Granules Description
Ferrosilicon 75 is a metallic eutectic alloy based on silicon and iron. It is used in the production of grey and pig iron by facilitating the graphitisation of carbon. Ferrosilicate 75 uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials and is produced in an electric furnace. Because silica and oxygen combine readily to form SiO2, ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidiser in steel production. It can also be used as a suspended phase in the mineral processing industry and as a coating for welding electrodes in the manufacture of electrodes.

The main components of ferrosilicon are iron and silicon. The share of the latter element is 74-80%. The alloy is obtained by melting rock containing about 100% SiO2. It is of great importance in the foundry and metallurgical industries, where it is used for alloying and deoxidising steels and cast iron, as well as for the production of other ferroalloys.
