Silicon Metal Description
Metallic silicon 441, also known as industrial silicon 441, is a product made by smelting silica and carbon reducing agent in a submerged arc furnace. The main component, silicon, usually makes up between 98.5 and 99.99% of the total content, while the remaining impurities consist of iron, aluminum, calcium, and other elements.
Silicon 441 metal is a highly versatile material, widely used in ferrosilicon alloy smelting, as alloying elements in the steel industry and as reducing agents in the smelting of a variety of other metals.
