Ferrosilicon briquette FS65 Description
Ferrosilicon briquette FS65 combines with oxygen to form SiO2 during steelmaking, thus playing a deoxidizing role. In addition, Ferrosilicon 65 generates a large amount of heat during steelmaking, which helps to raise the temperature of the molten steel. Ferro silicon 65 is a gray color ferroalloy product that is made of iron and silicon. Ferrosilicon 65 tips
- When manufacturing ferrosilicon 65 in casts the amount of fines passing through a sieve with holes of 20x20 mm should not exceed: 10% of the lot weight - for ferrosilicon of FS65 grade.
- When making ferrosilicon 65 of all grades in pieces weighing up to 25 kg the amount of fines passing through the sieve with holes of 20x20 mm should not exceed 10% of the lot weight.
- For long-term storage 65 ferrosilicon is produced with ingot thickness not more than 100 mm when casting in one layer or thickness not more than 150 mm when casting in two layers.
- Ferrosilicon 65 should not be contaminated with foreign materials. Individual inclusions of welded sand, traces of non-stick materials and graphite, and slag film, are allowed.
