Ferro silicon is an iron-silicon alloy with between 45% and 75% silicon. Its key features-being very pure silicon, with controlled levels of other elements like carbon, phosphorus and sulfur, and having a consistent size of particle-mean it is vital in metallurgical and foundry processes. Ferro Silicon 65 is good value for money and efficient, making it suitable for medium-carbon steel alloys.
