Ferrovanadium 50
Ferro vanadium 50 is used to make micro-alloyed steels. Even small amounts (usually 0.05-0.15% V) can make these steels much stronger. This is because of something called 'precipitation strengthening', which involves vanadium carbonitrides. These are formed during controlled rolling or heat treatment. This makes structures lighter without affecting safety or performance. It is also very important for certain types of steel (like A2, D2, H13) that are used for hot work, high-speed steels (M-series) and wear-resistant cast irons.
