The air permeability is not good, shall not be normal furnace conditions. It is used as inoculant and spheroidising agent in iron casting industry. Silica is an important raw material for smelting ferrosilicon, and the surface of silica should not have impurities such as saprolite, weathered stone, sand and soil. Silica should have good mechanical strength and explosion resistance, particle size should be controlled in 80-140mm.
