Silicon Barium Description
The silicon-barium modifier can promote graphitization, reduce the tendency to form a white mouth, improve the morphology and distribution of graphite, increase the number of eutectic groups, and improve the structure of the matrix. It has a good effect for a short time (about 5-8 minutes) after seeding. It is used mainly for the general nature of various situations or for temporary incubation at a later stage.
Silicon Barium Inoculator is mainly used for the inoculation of ductile iron and grey Bribril cast iron. Silicon-barite inoculator greatly increases the graphitization core, purifies graphite, promotes the formation of type A graphite in gray cast iron, improves strength, can make the graphite in nodular graphite cast iron thin and round, and improve the degree of spheroidization. It has a high resistance to recession and prevents the associated subsidence during spheroidization. The sensitivity to wall thickness is low, and the tissue is homogeneous. It can greatly reduce the tendency to form a white mouth, reduce the relative hardness, and improve the technological performance of casting. It is used as an inoculator and spheroidizer in the cast iron industry.
